Dr Pizaro has said of the program "Our aim is to explore the brain and consciousness to more fully understand ourselves. We can pay attention to what is going on within and around us instead of operating on auto-pilot. In this way we can reduce stress, unlock creativity and boost performance."

Within this course we will undertake several methods of meditation practice:
The 3 major Buddhist Techniques
- Focused attention including breathing awareness to improve concentration,
- Mindfulness through observation and stream of consciousness,
- Compassion in cultivating feelings of empathy and kindness to increase peace and avoid burnout.

We will also learn Qiqong healing sounds, a combination of breath, sound and movement, simple physical techniques promoted by the Chinese Health Qigong Association to increase wellbeing and energy.

In addition, we'll look at visualisation techniques to redirect the wandering mind and enhance goal setting, and Meditations “on the go” which can be undertaken anytime throughout the day.

The techniques shown have been proven by Neuroscience to increase brain activity and diminish the stress response leading to increased happiness. All in all, a coordination of the mind and body to fully enliven our sense of purpose.

Here's a short video outlining the Scientific Power of Meditation.
