JinLi Beginners will enjoy a gentle but focussed introduction to the wonderful world of Tai Chi. Each class will incorporate Qigong breathing; strength, flexibility, balance and coordination exercises; Tai Chi techniques and fundamentals; martial applications and form work.
SUITABLE FOR ALL AGE AND FITNESS LEVELS.
JinLi’s Tai Chi Beginner Level 2 program follows on from the foundations learnt as a beginner. You will usually progress to this level within 1 to
2 years. The class format will remain essentially the same as you continue your skills development and training. It is at this stage that you will
be introduced to things such as weaponry, push hands etc.
SUITABLE FOR EVERYONE WHO HAS COMPLETED THE BEGINNERS PROGRAM, ALL AGE AND FITNESS LEVELS.
JinLi’s Tai Chi Intermediate program continues on from the foundations learnt as a beginner. It is a challenging program incorporating the Chinese Wushu
Association’s Duan Wei protocols and many other skills. You should expect to reach this level within 5 years depending on the amount of time you have
to practice and study.
SUITABLE FOR EVERYONE WHO HAS COMPLETED THE JINLI BEGINNERS TAI CHI PROGRAM.
Our Advanced program provides the opportunity for students who are familiar with barehand and/or weapon routines to refine their skills in a supportive yet mentally challenging environment.
If you would like to attend any of our classes, contact the instructor listed for that class or contact our office. You
do not need to complete an enrolment form prior to attending your first class.
Your first JinLi class is FREE - if it doesn't suit you, walk away - no pressure, no cost. If you decide to stay you can pay either weekly or by the term.
FOR INFORMATION ABOUT PRICING please CONTACT US.
There is no special equipment or clothing required for Tai Chi or Qigong - just wear loose, comfortable clothing and flat-soled shoes.
The Taolu (forms or routines) component of our program starts with the Duan Wei Level 1 Yang Style Taijiquan Single Routine (we refer to it as Yang 9), and progresses to include the following:
Qigong is incorporated in to all of our classes. We help Beginners settle in to the concept of Qigong practice by teaching the ShiBaShi Taiji Qigong Routine. At that stage we shift our Qigong focus on to the extensively researched routines published by the Chinese Health Qigong Association. Each of the routines has been optimised for health, relaxation and mind development, and include:
Thornbury - Sunday 10 January - 11.00am
Elwood - Wednesday 13 January - 9.30am
Prahran - Sunday 17 January - 9.30am
